Company History

Surprisingly, VIVA Transcription did not begin in the medical field; it began on the road. The founder of the company initially launched VIVA Expense in 2003 as a way to track his expenses while traveling. This was a voice recorded system that allowed him to track and record business expenses throughout the day. The system worked so well that he soon began offering it to colleagues and friends. Their responses were unanimous: it was a hit.

VIVA took a turn towards the medical industry when a doctor, who was unhappy with his transcription service, sought out VIVA and incorporated their voice recording system to handle his patient transcriptions. This system helped VIVA Transcription become one of the most successful medical transcription companies in the market.
